Another 110 hens rescued

On Friday we had another rescue of 110 hens from the factory that’s closing it’s caged side. These are just a few photos of the hens we saved that day. Only 500 left for us to get out from here before they close their caged side. I will be pleased on this day as it’s heartbreaking seeing the girls in this state every time. The infections on their heads you see is from them rubbing on the cages. It’s similar to ingrown hairs and pimples. Just another issue we deal with when these girls come in. Warning some of the photos are pretty hard to look at.

This poor girl had a huge abscess in her mouth that we have to treat. She’s doing great now that it’s out and flushed of all the gunk in it.

Sitting waiting for their turn. Not long girls and you will have your freedom

Broken toes. Long since healed but still very bent. Must have been painful when she did it. But she suffered in silence in her prison.
