Adopt a Hen
The more hens we can adopt out, the more we can save. If you can provide a loving home for some hens please get in touch.
Hens can be adopted for $15 each and this coves the cost of rehabilitation.

Fundraise
Fundraising is a great way to raise money for the charity. Whether you want to organise an event or get your friends to sponsor you, every little helps towards rescuing some more lovely ladies.
Volunteer Your Time
We are looking for helpers!!!
- Do you live in the Hamilton area?
- Are you able to take part in weekday meetings in Whatawhata?
- Do you want to be actively involved in Free as a Bird?
WE WANT YOU!
If you can answer yes to all of the above then we would love for you to join our team. We are looking for two (or one multi talented person!)
- To help us with rescues, caring for hens, attending meetings and being actively involved in Free as a Bird.
- To help us with bookkeeping and accounts and also attend meetings.
We are also on the lookout for people in TAURANGA and CAMBRIDGE areas who would like to become a base for hens to rehabilitate and then be re-homed in those areas, we will cover the cost of hens, feed etc but you will need to be able to have time to be responsible for those birds and meet people who would like to collect hens.
