Making a difference

I made a small rescue today of 16 birds. Walking down the aisles upon aisles of these poor creatures in their dim, falsely lit and overly crowded surrounds all I can feel is utter despair. How can we ever make a difference? How can this cruelty ever end? But then I recall the “Starfish Story”. It may not make a difference in the whole but it certainly made a difference to that one or, today – those 16 hens.
So my reminder to myself and to everyone else – keep going, keep trying – you ARE making a difference!!!
